Mantra, Meditation and Relaxation workshop with Oliver Sunday – 15th December 10am to 12pm
In this workshop we will explore the relationship between simple sounds and Mantra. These practices will lead to concentration techniques for sitting meditation and deep relaxation. The session will have four main components
- Breath and body awareness through simple exercises and movements to prepare us for deeper practice
- Vibhaga Pranayama and Pranava Aum - a three-part sectional breathing exercise, combined with the three core sounds of Aum
- Pranava Aum Meditation (Dhyana)
- Shava Asana with Jnana Yoga Kriya (deep relaxation techniques) to relax and integrate the practices
The course is open to everyone. I hope it will be a good general introduction to my classes, as well as an in-depth exploration of some of the subtler aspects of Yoga for those with experience.
Oliver has over fifteen years of experience and trained in South India. He is a recognised Yoga Sadhak of Gitananda Yoga, a Dakshini Marga Tantra which dates back hundreds of years.
