Asana, Kriya and Pranayama Workshop with Oliver Saturday 14th December 10am to 12pm
Asana, Kriya and Pranayama Workshop with OliverSaturday – 14th December 10am to 12pm
In this workshop we will explore the relationship between Asana (body postures) Kriya (body movements for specific effects) and how Pranayama as breath development can be cultivated through body postures and movements.
The session will have four main components
- Breath and body awareness through simple exercises and movements to prepare us for deeper practice
- Vibhaga Pranayama - a three-part sectional breathing exercise using hand gestures (Mudra)
- Asana and Kriya to further develop this sectional breathing
- Shava Asana with Jnana Yoga Kriya (deep relaxation techniques) to relax and integrate the practices
The course is open to everyone. I hope it will be a good general introduction to my classes, as well as an in-depth exploration of core aspects of any Yoga practice for those who already have experience.
